These are great points. I think what you are getting at here is being a social person has its benefits. Pretty much if you have technical aptitude, that is good. But if a client or manager knows someone who is technically skilled AND a good friend or easy to get along with, they will lean towards that person. This is simple but overlooked at times. Even though we are in a technical field and in a world of 0s and 1s, reialtonships matter!
